Another day, another path taken down an unfamiliar road on search for something to do, someone new to meet, anything to occupy the ghost’s empty day. It was always when his best friend had gone to sleep when Jae managed to wander around town and find himself nearly on the opposite side of it; he couldn’t stand staying in one place without any company or some form of entertainment.
So today, he finds himself walking down a street, hands in the pockets of his jeans and squinted eyes (avoiding the glaring sun) peeking around in search for someone who’d might be able to see him-- It was always what he’d end up doing, and also a way of meeting some of the naturals in town. It takes a while sadly until he does find someone, though it’s usually just a quick wave of the hand or a nod of their head before the two continue going about their ways.
However today was different. The natural he happened to stumble upon-- wasn’t necessarily his ideal person to talk to, but they definitely did provide him some company and happiness. Today, after an unknown time looking for someone, he settled with this child who had who-know’s-what-type of blood in her, and who looked up at Jae with a curiosity and innocence sparkling in her eyes that he hadn’t seen in years--.... A kid would probably be better company anyways.
And that’s how he found himself, sitting down on the floor across this toddler and entertaining both himself and her with a plush animal (really just bouncing it around and mimicking a conversation with the one she held); a soft smile painting onto his expression as little giggles and mumbles from the child echoed through the room.
