Faking THE FUCKEN PAIN

I stupidly decided to re-watch Faking it... which in earthed all this anger and sadness. The direction this show was going in and the subjects it could have hit and already did where incredible. But it was canclled because it's not as generic as bloody teen moms. And all the billions of shows on air that are the same thing but actually get to stay running. It's annoying and I'm sad and pissed off and I told my mum about how in shows where charchters are gay or whatever LBGTQ+ they either always get killed off or the show gets cancelled and she agreed that it is indeed bullshit. Thank you and goodnight.

Faking It Forever - Of Course Not, What Crazy Notions You Have...

So since you mentioned you like the idea of bringing back the faking it tag to life. I have a question. Let's imagine there is a will for reviving faking it. Do you think it works? If you could write it, how do you do it?considering its been 8 years since cancellation. (Honestly feels so much longer than 8 years). there are many tv shows that come back way longer than 8 years. So its not impossible. Cast are still young and their appearances didn't change much.

Honestly, in order to revive it, we'd need an active fandom, people to campaign for it, maybe determine another network to pick it up by getting the rights from MTV. However, all of these efforts would require money. In the past, the fundraiser idea was pitched and it could have worked, petitions also, but any network wouldn't pick up a dead show unless there was profit in it. Unfortunately, if you remember, the Faking It ratings have steadily dropped towards the end, and for good reason.

I don't believe a revival could be possible at this point. If I could write it from the shitty point Carter left it at, the first thing I'd do is switch the show to Karma's POV, while she is with Felix and Amy with Sabrina. Show her questioning her sexuality and Amy's part in that in detail so the audience sees her feelings switch, show Karma controlling her jealousy this time (character evolution) and not sabotaging Amy, but still hurting inside. Create some real conflict and angst.

If not, a college spin-off could be just as interesting tbh.
