My Favorite Trolls AUs

Forever and Always AU by worthmorethenrubies25 on Ao3; in which Branch and Poppy are a straight-up item before the events of the first movie.

Gumdrop AU by allysartstuff; in which everything’s the same except Poppy has two dads, everyone has a tail, and brickoppy is 100% cannon.

Jumbled AU by starlightcelist; roleswap in which Poppy’s the one on tour and Barb’s the one trying to stop her. 

Muddled AU by starlightcelist: roleswap in which Branch is the Pop leader, Hickory is the grey loner, and Poppy is the mysterious cowgirl.

King Creek AU by starlightcelist; in which Creek turns evil, steals the Pop string, does a bunch of bad creepy bad stuff, and is eventually dethroned and caste out. (preferably by Poppy and Branch’s newfound non-Pop friends)

Human AUs; lots of fun, endless possibilities, provided certain characters are given the correct ethnicity.

Disney Fairy-Tale AUs: I find these ironic since this is the same company that made Shrek, which went out of it’s way to satirize Disney. Still love ‘em.

Fusion AUs; in which Trolls can fuse their bodies together through dance like in Dragon Ball and Steven Universe. 

Manifest AU created by me; in which every Troll tribe has a guardian angel that loves and protects them. 

                         I also came up with....

Rescue AU; in which sometime before or after the events of the first movie, the other tribes mistakenly hear that the Pop Trolls are still being captured and eaten by the Bergens, and for various reasons decide to go “rescue” them.

Some additional Muddled AU notes;

Queen Rosiepuff lead to escape from the troll tree despite being already in her 60s at this point. She’s her 80s by the events of the first movie.

So, you know how it was kinda sorta implied that Poppy had a crush on Creek/was perhaps in a relationship with him? Yeah, unfortunately, B/re//ek is canon in this AU. But don’t worry! Branch still chokes him out! :)))))

The Brickory pinning is gonna be through the fucking roof!!!!!

Poppy is a lot more buff in this AU! And, yes, she does flirt with King Branch and Hickory is NOT happy about it (that is until she starts flirting with HIM too).

There’s gonna be a ton of rewrites of certain lines but this is my favourite;

“Hickory, I love that we’re different!”

“And I love you, King Branch!”

“Heh, I love you too, Hickory!”
