Summary: Rapunzel’s nineteenth birthday has arrived. And as the day concludes, she spends the last few hours of her birthday with Hiccup, under a lantern-lit night sky.
"So, was this everything you hoped for?"
Rapunzel, who was in awe and wonder of her nineteenth birthday, Hiccup made sure that everything for her was perfect. The morning had stared off like any other, with passion and pleasure in bed, except Hiccup, Astrid, Arianna, and the other Fair Queens were sure to dedicate their time and effort to give Rapunzel as much pleasure as possible, not that the Golden Queen minded in the slightest. By the time it was time to bathe, Rapunzel was reduced to a sweaty, writhing mess in her shared bed with her great many lovers. After bathing, there was breakfast inside of the Haddock home, cooked for by Heather, who had been told by Rapunzel to cook her fluffy eggs and cinnamon covered oatmeal. Conversation flowed easily between everyone as they made sure Rapunzel’s birthday day was off to a wonderful start. The remainder of the day had been spent exploring undiscovered territory and land beyond Haddock Haven; Rapunzel, forever curious, was taken to Old Berk that was being brought back to life by Hairy Hooligans who wished to return to the island of their birth. Learning where Hiccup was born and where he first bonded with Toothless was a privilege, and Rapunzel was utterly captivated by Old Berk’s forestry and beaches.
Once returning to Haddock Haven, Rapunzel’s birthday celebration continued as the streets were filled with music, dancing Scandinavian people, sweet and savory food being cooked for all to enjoy. And finally, as night fell, lanterns were lit, filling the night with radiant, golden light.
The lanterns reflected Rapunzel, she was radiant and golden, and Hiccup made sure to always remind her of this whenever they spent the day exploring, making love, or spending time alone as they were right now.
"This was perfect, Hiccup," her sweet voice was barely a whisper as she clasped Hiccup’s hands, squeezing them gently. "Thank you. This was one of the best birthdays of my life."
Hiccup smiled as he allowed himself to drink in her radiance. Her flawless skin seemed to glow under the lantern lights swarming them like flocks of Fireworm dragons. Her equally golden hair was done in a long, elegant braid that was covered in flower petals. And the pink dress she had worn for the evening turned the heads of many, especially the men. It had a modest length and looked appropriate for formal wear but the upper part of the bodice also really emphasized her beautiful curves, hugging her chest just right and teasing the right amount of cleavage.
As always, Rapunzel was stunning, but she appeared even more so in this moment.
"I’m glad," he beamed in response to her words. "You deserve nothing but the best, and I want to tell you how grateful I am that you're in my life as a friend, companion, and a lover."
Squeezing her hands in return, Hiccup kissed her knuckles and leaned forward to press his forehead against hers. "I love you, Rapunzel," he then pecked her lips. "Happy birthday."
"I love you too, Hiccup," she murmured before beaming so brightly that it would put the sun to shame. "Thank you for everything you and the others have done for me today. It was golden."
The two came together for a deep passionate kiss, savoring the privacy they had out on the water with only each other for company, and the golden lanterns, illuminating their radiant light in the night sky.
