I love movies, I really do and I blame Brendan Fraser entirely
Let's start this the usual way shall we? Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved movies and television. We were always a television watching family, every evening a film would be one, throughout the day (at certain times of course) the TV would be on watching our favourite shows, I was raised watching television and I loved it.
With all this in my childhood however, it took me until the age of 11 or 12 to realise just how movies are made. As I entered my teenage years I was obsessed with The Mummy Returns. I had a HUGE crush on Brendan Fraser at the time (maybe Arnold Vosloo aswell a little), and it was the first time I discovered the additional content on disc 2, and it was so brilliant. I used to love going through the extras and watching bloopers, behind the scenes and interviews with the cast and crew. It was the first time I had discovered what a director was, and noticing how a movie was made.
I think this may have been the starting point of my obsession. Ever since then I have collected DVDs (and most recently Blu Rays) because of the extra content available. If I love a movie (or series for that matter) I will buy it on DVD or Blu Ray. Certain people who knew me in University especially will know of my large movie collection, and I couldn't be more proud of it.
The collection has dwindled over time, I've gotten rid of a few movies that I over-watched and I don't buy them as often now that streaming services like Netflix is available, but even with this I will still buy a movie if I truly loved it, or developed some kind of association with it that really makes it worth the purchase. Let's use The Greatest Showman as an example, it's not the best movie in the world but because of the project I was doing for it, I bought the movie and will keep it forever. I want to always remember the project and have that association, plus of course, the music rocks. People ask me why I do this, they say to me 'What's the point in buying them when you can watch them on Netflix?', my reply is always the same, 'Movies don't stay on streaming services forever, if I love a movie, I want to be able to watch it whenever I want rather than hope it'll be available when I search for it'. I will never stop doing this, having the hard copy of a movie is so much more satisfying for me than watching it digitally.
Now that I work part time I have more time during the week. My new routine (that I'm still working out) involves getting up early, having breakfast with my fiance before he leaves for work and watching a movie before starting on some of my personal work at 9. I usually tend to watch a movie and it's been wonderful! I love chilling before I start my work, which is why I get up so early so I can make the most of the day. This routine gives me inspiration to start, it helps me notice new things about movie making and gives me ideas for any future projects.
I really do hope I can help tell a story eventually with my Storyboarding, I just need to keep practising and using my free time effectively.
The drawing attempt is of Brendan Fraser, I mean of course, it's all his fault I'm in this position, thank you Brendan :D
Most beautiful love story is an adventure
The 2,500-year-old coffin had been ignored, as it was thought to be empty, but experts were surprised when they finally opened it.
Scientists have found the fossil footprints of a creature that walked the Earth 541 million years ago. Mummy found in 'empty' coffin could be Egyptian high priestess #deadlive #mummyreturns https://goo.gl/GHjfQo
