Send me ‘five times + a word’ and I’ll write a drabble about our muses based on it.
5 Times Reiji and Naoya Escaped Deadly Situations and the 1 Time One of Them Didn’t
The first time they fought side by side, Naoya was about to get his ass handed to him by a Lilim. Everyone else had been knocked out and Naoya fully charmed by the demon. Arms outstretched and waiting for her to kill him.
Reiji, immune to the wiles of the demon, wasted no time knocking her away. Naoya snapped out of it soon after the demon died froma spray of bullets from Reiji’s gun.
He yelled at Naoya for being so stupid.
Reiji was on his last leg when Naoya stepped between him and the demon. He wasted no time fighting it off as their other allies did the same with similar demons. They were fighting tooth and nail…
They barely made it out alive. Reiji tried to apologize for being so head strong, for going out ahead of them. Naoya told him to shut up, he didn’t want to hear it.
He hugged Reiji for what felt like an hour, as if making sure he was still there.
Naoya’s sword went flying to the side as the demon bared down on him. A large maw of teeth coming straight for his neck. The others bound or charmed out of helping him…
Death seemed imminent when Reiji finally broke through the bindings, breaking the demon’s jaw. Naoya was pretty sure the other boy beat the demon well past its death.
When he finally got Reiji to stop, he felt Reiji would never let go of him.
Naoya’s panic was clear when Reiji’s body fell to the ground. His breathing was shallow and blood was pouring from a wound on his chest. Demons surrounded them, too many to ignore to help Reiji.
Naoya fought them off, fear filling his mind. What if they didn’t make it out this time? What if he did, but Reiji didn’t? The thoughts pushed him farther and faster. He had to defeat them…
When Reiji was healed, he didn’t think twice about kissing him in relief.
Naoya’s arm looked like it was about to fall off as he staggered away from the monster in front of them. The sight made Reiji’s vision turn red. He’d never seen anyone hurt that badly…
And the fact it was someone he cared about made it worse. He didn’t even think about it before he jumped in the way. Taking every blow… Soon enough, he was in the same position as Naoya. But at least the monster was dead.
They shared a kiss that tasted of both of their blood.
They were seperated from their friends and there was only one way out. A narrow passage that they wouldn’t both be clear of before the demons caught up to him…. Naoya was ready to fight by Reiji’s side and try to fight off the giant horde…
But with a final embrace and a shove, he was in the passage. Reiji barked at him to go and Naoya could tell by the look in his eyes what was about to happen. They would never see each other again.
He tried not to cry as the demons descended and he did his best to run, like Reiji wanted.
