Throwin it back to the day we took this beautiful mural photo. The mural is located on the outside of a Mexican restaurant named Torreros. The photo was taken last August. Last week an explosion happened at this very spot, the same place where we stood and took this photo. The blast injured 30 people and killed one person. Yes, the thought rattled me a bit. ♡ ♡ ♡ After reflecting on things for a while, I embraced a strong sense of gratitude for several reasons... Grateful to be able to share this post. Thankful that more people weren't injured. And happy to see the sense of community here in Durham. Hundreds of folks volunteered their time, goods, and treasures to help the victims. * * * At the end of the day, people are generally good hearted. Don't let the news fool you...
