Closing time :)

Locking up in the partially lit exhibit hall is always magical to me, and fills me with gratitude. I love these beasts, and it makes me so happy to work with them every day.

It was a rough long weekend with gender dysphoria and depression, and a rough morning too. But I made it to work, however late. My colleagues were loving and supportive, and I was able to do some good things today. Not to mention a wonderful conversation with my Mom on the phone. God really does love us, and sends angels when we're having a rough time. Sometimes they have wings, sometimes they have sneakers, and for me sometimes they have sharp teeth and bony claws :)

Overtime™

I left my conference in Richmond VA this morning at 2:30am and drove my own car eight straight hours to my museum to work all day on preparation for the exhibit I'm curating which is opening next week and my senior curator still thinks I didn't work hard enough today.

Also I'm not getting reimbursed for the 1,000 round-trip miles I put on said car.
