कृषि एवं पर्यावरण विषय पर वैज्ञानिक संवाद

सरसों अनुसंधान निदेशालय सेवर भरतपुर में कृषि एवं पर्यावरण विषय पर दो ब्याख्यानमालाओं का आयोजन किया गया। हाइब्रिड मोड में आयोजित ब्याख्यान में डॉ वाई. एस. परमार औद्योगिकी एवं वानिकी विश्वविद्यालय, सोलन के पूर्वकुलपति डॉ एच. सी. शर्मा ने कीट-रोधक प्रजातियों के बारे में चर्चा करते हुए कीट-प्रतिरोधी प्रजातियों के विकास पर प्रकाश डाला। डॉ शर्मा ने चना एवं बाजरा फसलों में लगने वाले कीटों के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए इन फसलों में कीट-प्रतिरोधी किस्मों के बारे में विस्तार से बात की। भारतीय तिलहन अनुसंधान संस्थान हैदराबाद के पूर्व निदेशक डॉ डी. एम. हेगडे ने भारत में जल संसाधनों की उपलब्धता पर व्याख्यान देते हुए कृषि में सिचाईं एवं जल प्रबंधन के इतिहास के बारे में चर्चा की। उन्होंने बताया कि लगातार प्रति व्यक्ति जल की उपलब्धता घटने के  कारण वर्ष 2007 से ही भारत जल की कमी  वाले देशों की सूची में शामिल है जो कि हमारे लिए चिंता का विषय होना चाहिए। डॉ हेगडे ने बताया कि सिचाईं की आधुनिक विधियों का प्रयोग कर हम उपलब्ध जल संसाधनों के अनुचित दोहन से बच सकते हैं। उन्होंने वर्षा जल के संचयन पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि जल की समस्या को सुलझाने के लिए ऐसे प्रयास तेजी से करने पड़ेंगे। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता पंजाब कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, लुधियाना के प्राफेसर सुरिंदर सिंह बंगा ने की । उन्होंने बदलते पर्यावरण को ध्यान में रखते हुए सरसों की उन्नत किस्मों के विकास के बारे में वैज्ञानिकों को सुझाव दिए।कार्यक्रम का आयोजन संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ पी. के. राय ने किया । डॉ राय ने सरसों की फसल में सिचाईं की उन्नत तकनीकियों के बारे में जानकारी दी।संस्थान में उपस्थित सभी वैज्ञानिकों ने प्रत्यक्ष रूप से एवं अन्य राज्यों के वैज्ञानिकों ने ऑनलाइन माध्यम से इस कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया । कार्यक्रम का संचालन संस्थान के वैज्ञानिक डॉ प्रशांत यादव ने किया।
