Shifter frowned as he heard Ebott speak, glancing down to the flower. He just wanted to stay like this, resting quietly until he could be placed somewhere warm and safe, if such a place existed at all.
Still, it wasn't enough for him to protest, and he was placed down in front of his friend. As he watched Ebott Shifter's head dipped, not as a greeting, but from fatigue. He didn't know why Ebott was here. When had he ever met him like this? Offering to take over?
