Tonight was my first time smoking a pork loin and here are my steps. I started with a preseasoned meat chunk because I could not find a plain one. 🙁
I added my own rub after rinsing off most of the their seasoning and let it sit wrapped for a few hours. The cook time on these things is short so I put it in the freezer for 45 minutes before putting it in the smoker.
I then cold smoked it for 2 hours and the meat temp came up very slowly. I then turned on the heat for 45 minutes and brought it in the house to add sauce and bring it up the last couple degrees in the oven. Done 👇
This is my first time using this sauce. I was trying to find one with fewer chemicals and additives. Funny what you notice when you start reading labels. 🧐
