I have never been scared of clowns.
As a kid I was confused as to why people were ever scared of clowns.
A lady from our very accepting CHRuCH was a clown and was at my 6th (5th?) birthday party and I was like "damn son a balloon animal" (in small child speak in my brain).
But also, I knew her kind of, she went to the church I also went to...
I knew she was not born with that much pink and white makeup on her face....
