Man. There's no winning.
The huge hype around Hades 2 has died down, but while I was in the thick of it, I couldn't get this crossover idea out of my head.
Lloyd is the God of Construction, Safety, and Negotiation. He gets safety gloves, a safety helmet, contracts, and bluprints in his design. He's got a titty out since that's the best I could match the vibe of his open shirt, and hints of blue to match with Javier. His design is close to the human companions in the game, less regal, to match his down to earth vibe.
Javier is the God of Swordmastery and Loyalty. He gets armor a la tkobai but with Lloyd's shovel symbol crossed with his sword. He also gets a pair of Lloyd's construction gloves tucked away for use, and tinges of Lloyd's brown in his outfit. His outfit is full of silver and a laurel wreath to be a smidge fancier than Lloyd.
Very important: Lloyd and Javier have a Duo Boon called "Defy Fate", and it's a completely broken boon that gamers fight hard to get every time.
I don't think Lloyd's (most certainly fake) puppy-dog eyes would ever work on Javier, but if Lloyd ever genuinely laughs about something, Javier instantly caves to anything encouraging said behavior. Fortunately for Javier, Lloyd never quite figures out this exploit
okay my problem with the tged manhwa ending is like
after some terrible events you end up in jail, sometimes even solitary confinement. its bad, you dont get close to anyone, and your only hope is to power through and hopefully in a few years you maybe get out early for good behavior.
boom. suddenly you wake up in a different country. its not easy but people recognize you for your skills. and its really not easy but as the years go by you gain a huge support network, a little brother youve always wanted, two people you tearfully consider adoptive parents, and the closest friend youve ever had in your life. you'd do anything for them. death scares you but at least you keep whats yours until the end.
you wake up back in jail. no time has passed. the news says theres no change to the country you lived and thrived in. the piece of the jail's courtyard you stole in your adventures is still in place.
do you think you would 1) seriously think about killing yourself again because you just did it and it wasnt that hard or 2) decide to become one of the jail wardens?
Satisfaction and bafflement lmao
(chapter 12 of The Whole World at Your Fingertips is up!)
I adore the fact that Lloyd likes to read for entertainment. I also like thinking about Lloyd's inability to chill the fuck out. I think it's funny.
Whatever you think is happening here is both very very very accurate and waaaay off base
Fight, fight, fight-
(they're not(?) fighting, as you can find out in the latest chapter of The Whole World at Your Fingertips)
