🦠Chlorophyll🦠 a green pigment, present in all green plants, responsible for the absorption of light to provide energy for photosynthesis. . It strongly absorbs blue and red light on the electromagnetic spectrum 🔵🔴 but is a poor absorber of green hence the color of chlorophyll containing tissues. 🌱 . Strangely enough, chlorophyll and hemoglobin have similar structures. The main difference is that hemoglobin is built around iron, where as chlorophyll is built around magnesium. You could say humans and plants are run by almost the same molecules 😏 . Boxwood shrubs are one of the most commonly used plants for formal or informal hedges, garden borders, and foundation plantings due to their dense foliage, evergreen color that lasts all year long, and low maintenance qualities 🍃. .
