Last week, we looked at some Practical steps to mastering the Lip Roll. This week, I like to give us some scales we can work with as we do the Lip Roll. But before that, let's quickly do a recap of what we discussed last week. Benefits of lip roll. 1. This exercise is tremendous at dissolving vocal tension, and increasing vocal range. 2. The 'lip roll exercise also helps us to warm up our diaphragm and its surrounding muscles for better breath control and support , since we need to be able to provide a steady supply of air for our lips to vibrate during the exercise. 3. It helps us build a strong and healthy voice Lip Roll Exercises Part 3 @singingexercises_femifaronbi exercises_femi Feel how the vibration system of your voice works with the lip roll exercise. Start from key ‘C’ below the middle ‘C’ and work yourself up to High ‘C’ and also in descending manner (move a tone higher) EXERCISES: 1. do re mi fa so la ti do (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8) 2. do mi so mi do (1 3 5 3 1) 3. do mi so do so mi do (1 3 5 8 5 3 1) Note: In the warm up, we don’t want to strain our voice.
