Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy Review
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Probably one of the most iconic characters to first appear on the original PlayStation and also one of the first successes of the now infamous developer studio Naughty Dog. Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy makes you relive some of the early console years with this remake of the first 3 Crash Bandicoot games.
The N’sane trilogy as stated above includes the first three Crash Bandicoot’s games namely, Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped. The collection was first released exclusively on the PS4 last year but now it is available for PC, Nintendo Switch and the Xbox One.
The Nintendo Switch port was not intended at first but after a lone employee proved that it can be easily done, then did they decide to go ahead with the Switch port.
So what is new or different? The trilogy adds new features across all three games, including unified checkpoints, pause menus and save systems, including both manual and automatic saving. Time trials, which were first introduced in Warped is now in all three games, and the ability to play most levels in each game as Crash’s sister Coco has also been included. The audio and cutscenes have been remastered and includes new recordings of the games’ dialogue given by the franchise’s more recent voice actors.
The gameplay is relatively still the same and the game is still insanely difficult to get past levels without losing a life. The checkpoints and saving definitely helps but you will have to practise to get through some stages.
Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy sparks some nostalgia and is quite a delight to play through but unless you are a hardcore fan, you might give up or only play through a few stages. It is a great collection to have in your library for those days where you need something to play like a platformer and it is also great for the collector and PlayStation fanatic.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”31419,31420,31421,31422,31423,31424,31425,31426″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
