Last Line Tag Game

I saw this and it made me wonder because I never looked up last lines before. Is it gonna be spoilery? Probably a little but if you've read the tags and saw happy ending up there then not that much.

(I think the game was meant to be about last lines you've written but I'm a rebel and I do what I want)

So! Rules: post the last line that you wrote and tag someone for every word in the line.

I also found out, for all the fics not featured here, I tend to end on a single word 🤣 Like "Always" or "Together". Which I knew I had a pattern but the consistency is kinda wild.

I think for the majority of my endings I'm aiming for hopeful. The remaining quarter is just funny 😅

From September [E] - happy edizzy childhood friends reunion fic with a dash of Ed choosing Izzy over Stede

“We’re here, Iz. We’ve made it. The ocean,” Ed waves his hand in front of the vast body of water in front of them as if in an introduction.

From Knocking on Heaven's Door [T] - an edizzy ficlet - Ed & Izzy find each other at the very end of their lives but that doesn't stop them from enjoying the last moments together

Eden is out cruising like every weekend.

From Princess [E] - happy edizzy getting together fic with transfem Ed and transmasc Izzy

Ed groans, glancing at the script of yet another stupid action movie.

From The Gentleman Unicorn [E] - steddyhands fic with bored action actor Ed, his manager Izzy and their new unicorn Stede

The doorbell to Izzy's flat rings and he promptly answers, as always.

I've always thought I there are no patterns to my opening lines but the more I look at them the more I see how I like to underline the monotonny and the habits of main characters and starting with their names xD so thanks @feraltuxedo tagging me into this! It was insightful.

Rain, sun, sleet, and fog for the weather ask game?

💧Rain - What's the most emotional scene you've ever written?

Hard pick! I think I tend to skew towards drama most of the time 😅

It's probably one of the GO fics tbh, angst in there hits different for me. It's got to be a scene from Warlock (or How I Met Your Father) which is a fantasy retelling of the series mentioned in the Slow Show. Around mid-way in the fic there's a drunk almost accidental kiss between deeply repressed Aziraphale who is coming to grips that loving men is not a crime after all. I cried when I wrote it 🙈

☀️ Sun - What's your favorite part of your WIP?

Well that tends to be the drama points, the one scene I've written the whole fic for 😅 Quarrels, break ups, confrontations. That sort of things.

Currently I am working on 5 fics at the same time (I am very normal). 2x Arcane, 2x GO, 1x OFMD.

🌨 Sleet - What's the most you've ever written in one sitting?

That's probably around 10k although I write on my phone so "one sitting" is stretched to the whole day as I move around. (When the inspiration takes hold... well then it takes hold 😂).

🌫 Fog - What was the hardest part of your WIP to write?

The fluffy middle 🤣 I write out of order and then work to stitch scenes together but where I just left myself a note of "fluff here" or "they get to know each other" I'm like why did I do this to myself.

🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction?

Funny story actually! I've been role-playing on a Neverwinter Nights server and started writing what happens to my character in a form of a story (never finished), then I've written a couple short stories when I came across (Good Omens) fanfiction. I fell in love with a few and saw they have big readership. I initially wanted to write just one as a challenge. Four years later I'm still here 😅

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?

That's a brilliant question because I constantly think about song lyrics and fics! They never leave my mind and often make their way into the text itself. Often I'd be listening to something and it will paint a story in my head which I then will write down.

Recently it's been the Crane Wives because they perfectly fit the divorced edizzy vibe I like to immerse myself in so much. But in the past also Tyler Childers, Des Rocs, Aurora, Asaf Avidan, Portishead, Daughter, The Cure etc. (so many!)

I once wrote a GO fic as if it was a tv series with every chapter ending with a song as if it was playing over end credits 😅

27. What do you listen to while writing?

Annnd funny enough in contrast to the above - I don't tend to listen to anything when writing, it's too distracting 😅 Unless it's something I can listen in the background, like Röyksopp , Kalandra, or Eivør (I recommend btw). I also have a synthwave playlist.
