I freaking did it! This is was not an easy test to take. In fact, of all my certification tests, this was by far the hardest. But as of a few hours ago I am proud to announce that I am officially a @nasm_fitness Correct Exercise Specialist! Aside from enhancing my abilities in my current position, this also will open up some other doors down the road when the time comes. Here are a few pointers for you if you're looking to take the CES course: 1. As per your test to become a trainer, you must know ALL the ones and out of the Overhead Squat Assessment. 2. Understand the differences between Static, Dynamic and Loaded Assessments and their purposes, along with the Single Leg Squat Assessment and its alternative, the Single Leg Squat Assessment. 3.Know you Posture Types. All of them. 4.Remember the 4 Pillars of the CES Continuum: Inhibit, Lengthen, Active, and Integrate. 5.Study the ENTIRE book. Cover. To. Cover. This in particular is absolutely non negotiable, because even the most miniscule of foot items may wind up on the test. Good luck to all of you. Now to celebrate with a steak!
