A little while ago, the nominations for the 2026 AACTA Awards were announced, celebrating the best that 2025 had to offer on Australian television.
The AACTA Awards adore The Newsreader and have treated the programme well previously at the 2021 and 2024 ceremonies, so it came as no surprise that we would receive some nominations. Joyously, the show has received twelve nominations across multiple television categories, which brings our total number of nominations across all the seasons to a whopping 56!
As our final chance to celebrate The Newsreader before it truly finds itself in the television archives, this is a wonderful recognition of the hard work that has gone into making this wonderful show. I am incredibly proud of everyone who has been a part of creating this wonderful series, and always will be.
