Native live in Oklahoma City
This band never fails to make me feel all pumped up and shit.
Native // Brass
Four piece indie/experimental four piece "Native" isn't your normal cup of tea, you won't hear a lot of bands like them. But will you hear is shear talent and creative writing, processed with unique vocals that really come together and put on a great live shot. I was lucky enough to hear this band for the first time catching the O'Brother, Daylight tour last Fall, and they were the act I wasn't too familiar with. No lights but lamps they set up across the stage with their mics and drums, ect, they came together and really create a "boom" with their sound. Very raw, powerful energy comes from this band. Orthodox was released in 2013 and made it into my personal top 10, each song has it's own taste of noise and experimental sound with an indie sound from the clean guitars, easily heard in songs like this.
Either via Spotify, Bandcamp, or Itunes; Check this album and them out.

Native last night was v cool
Native gives us a beautiful live rendition of "Brass" from the upcoming album Orthodox.
Sitting down for a chat with guitarist Ed O'Neill tomorrow afternoon. We'll get to the bottom of how they get so precise without getting too surgical.
Story coming.
