TODAY I SAW THE COOLEST THING
So the dog and I went for a walk down by a catch basin, and saw a bunch of little leopard frogs, it was very cool. But also. I noticed something moving in the grass, looked closer, and noticed it was a garter snake. Noticed it's mouth was open, and thought it was hissing at me. Looked closer, and nope, it's mouth was open and full of a frog's leg that it had caught and was apparently trying to eat. With the whole-ass frog still attached to it.
Anyway I got a bad picture, accidentally scared the snake by moving too close for a better shot, so it dropped the frog and the frog escaped. Sorry for interrupting your breakfast lil snake! But congratulations on your new-found extended life lil frog!
Here is the picture with helpful arrows etc etc.
[ID: a photo of a garter snake and a leopard frog, both of which are hidden among grasses and flowers and are blurry and a bit out of focus. The garter snake has caught the leopard frog's leg in it's mouth, while the leopard frog tries to pull away. The photo has been edited so that poorly drawn red arrows point to the snake's head, labeling it "snek", the frog, labeling it "forg", and the snake's mouth, labeling it "forg leg in snek mouth." Below in brackets is written "don't worry the frog got away." End ID.]
Went for a walk in the woods, came home with a magpie feather.
