The sound of keys coming from the front door called the attention of the two girls laying in the middle of the room and planted a big wide smile in the older while evoked a feeling of confusion in the younger, who couldn’t quite figure out yet that the particular jingle meant that her favorite person in the world was just about to come through the door.

“Well just look at that. Now, correct me if I’m wrong but I bet today’s payment that she... oh, give me a second. Uh... oh! “Miss my eyes are up here not in my wallet” kind again?”

She laughed, no malice or bad intentions really, only the kind of chuckle that was both sorry for the guy that only wanted to spend a nice afternoon with someone and entertained from the way he had to collapse after another disaster date of his.

“And what do you think, princess? Are you still the only girl in daddy’s life?” She played with her delicate feet and stole an eskimo kiss and a laugh from the girl that rested over a mountain of pillows.

“I’m coming!” The princess of Coronachecked herself in the mirror to make sure everything was in order. Her long hair had been arranged in a braid that made it easily for her to move around the kingdom and she had picked her newest dress for the ocassion.

Rapunzel slowly smiled and laughed lightly. “Well then...knowing me...I should probably watch out for that,” she said and laughed again. “Although, I do think I can take care of distractions if they come my way.”

“No but, what... happened to you? Is... everything alright?” She couldn’t help herself but to give a step back. Those menacing eyes forcing her to find some shelter. Anything.

When she looked up shesaw a figure and a small scream fell from herlips as she ran back to her room. This is how things were meant to be, she thought. Her head over his shoulder, the morning rain orchestrating a ballad on the streets and his calm heartbeats agains the palm of her hand. She had woke up a long time ago but she had decided to enjoy this moment for as far as she could. How much she wished to spend a lifetime like this. The corners of her lips lifted to form a pleased smile before she turned her head enough to lay a long and soft kiss over his collarbone, trying to figure out if he was already awake or if it was time for her to use her best tools to have him opening his eyes for her.
