The Christmas episode of NBC’s Chuck is so good.

I got into some of this last night... But I love the scene where the guy causing the hostage situation at the Buy More--right before Christmas--lets everyone call their loved ones, and Chuck calls Sarah. And she, of course, thinks it’s to protect their cover of being boyfriend and girlfriend when they’re really not. But it’s because he really does love you, you silly! And then he gives Sarah the charm bracelet his dad gave his mom when she was pregnant with his sister. And at first Sarah refuses--saying it’s something real, and he should give it to a real girlfriend--but Chuck eventually convinces Sarah to keep it.

And then the end of the episode is angst-y, but I love it. Sarah’s holding another guy who was involved with the situation at gun point, and he’s saying how--even if she puts him in a CIA holding cell--his people won’t stop until he’s free, and then he’ll tell everyone that Chuck’s the Intersect and Chuck’s “pathetic, little life will be over.” He then holds up his hands, and goes, “Alright, Agent Walker. Take me in.” And Chuck walks in on this part, thinking the guy was surrendering, and then watches Sarah shoot him in cold blood (or so he thinks). Making him reevaluate his feelings for Sarah for a little bit... 

Kind of what happened in Dark Angel, when Logan learned that Max was forced to kill someone at Manticore. And could be a little ho-hum about killing in general, if she felt like she had no other choice. Like, Max definitely didn’t enjoy killing. And she’d never harm innocents--and she tried her best not to kill people at all--but sometimes, she still had to.
