3. Jennifer Linnane In the spirit of all things representing "freedom", I submit this design. As an American, the traditional colors of red, white and blue are used to express patriotism in the form of our American flag complete with it's stars and stripes. Our country's birthday on the 4th of July is full of fireworks nationwide as we take pride in our heritage and celebrate our gift of freedom. In cycling, as an American, you wear the national colors and sometimes ride a bike with the same as you represent your country when you perform at the highest level and represent the USA. The deep midnight blue sky with the fireworks bursting and the flag waving freely in the wind as I peddle along the beautiful terrain, feeling the stress leave my system and the breeze rush through my helmet on my road, triathlon or cyclocross bike represent both the thrill of the adrenaline rush and my gratefulness to be able to express and celebrate my freedom. The fireworks represent my heart pounding as I ride and the inspiration to continue to the finish line and beyond. Great competition! I look forward to seeing the postings and to more contests in the future! Allez! Allez!

BREAKING NEWS! CAMPELLO & SWIFTY OUT OF PRYDE/JP!

The reason seems to be this photo, showing Campello and Swifty partying during last weekend's drag queen celebration at Oahu!

Mr Neil Pryde himself, Pryde's group big boss, said that athletes contracts would be annulled!

The official notification to the athletes was done through JP's brand manager Martin Brandner.

"...this has been a real slap in the face. We spent a lot of time and energy building your profiles. I feel betrayed..."

This means disciplinary proceedings can be taken against the athletes by the professional windsurfing association and the English and Venezuelian national disciplinary authorities.

No official response from the athletes yet.

Edit: It's obvious that it was about an April fools joke on two of the most talented (and respected from us) athletes in modern windsurfing. Ricardo & Robby, you guys rock whatever the conditions (from Pozo to Jaws)! You inspire us, even when you are partying!
