What is the difference between Neri-ko/Neri-Koh and Kyphi Incense?
Top is my Bring Back the Sun Kyphi and bottom is my Sandalwood and Rose Neri-koh. While these two types of incense look the same, they are actually completely different. Kyphi is made with wine, fruit, and honey as a base, while Neri-koh is made with fruit and honey. The base for Neri-koh is not heated unless you need to break down the fruit more. However because this is a Kneaded incense, you should not have to. Kyphi base is usually heated. This helps the powder blend with the base as well as making sure the fruit is adequately macerated.
This means that while we take precautions while heating the base, the ingredients are also heated a slight amount. This creates a difference in how the incense burns and how it smells. While Neri-koh, on the other hand, is not heated at all but aged. Generally, Neri-koh will spend about a year buried in the ground in a ceramic container. Aging it this way keeps the incense cool and allows the scents to marry in an unprocessed way.
Neri-koh is also much more simple than Kyphi. My neri-koh is made with about 10 ingredients, while my Kyphi is made with 20-30 ingredients.
Both are completely natural incenses and both are beautiful in their own way. Perfect for spells and rituals or simply for promoting a positive atmosphere. Both age beautifully and will change scent depending on how long they have been aged. Both are intensely fragrant and need only small amounts to produce a lot of scent.

Sometimes I feel disappointed because the application template is so small that when I scale down my full body ref pictures, most of the details are lost and ... there kind of goes all my hard work on those little details that nobody really sees/cares about ... You know?
