okay but them being on the same team and thus sharing plans/strategies now makes me fucking cackle imagining shane doing what he did in the cottage and just sitting straight up in bed for hours problem solving after a loss while ilya is blissfully asleep because HE is fine with just figuring it out tomorrow. shane finally wakes him up after he's Solved It at 3 am and is trying to show him diagrams and slowed-down replays, and poor ilya who was halfway through a rem cycle before he got shaken awake like the house is on fire and then had a full laptop screen shoved in front of him before his eyes were even open is just
