Thank you all for sending this in! I was actually using April 16, so my estimate was only a day off! Nice. So happy to finally have some data for this pregnancy.

I’m guessing I’m not the first to report this but according to SiRen, Si proposed on 2/24/18

Josiah Proposed to Lauren on February 24, 2018, Apparently.

Yesterday (February 24, 2020), Josiah posted on his (and Lauren’s) Instagram: “Can’t believe it’s been two years ago today that I asked Lauren to marry me.” Grammar issues aside, this obviously means that he proposed on February 24, 2018.

Prior to this, we didn’t know the exact date that Si + Lauren got engaged, but knew it was within days of Lauren’s youngest brother’s (Duke’s) birth. (He was born on February 21, 2018.) Duggar Data was using February 23, 2018 as an Estimated Proposal Date.

Based on this data, we now know the exact length of Si + Lauren’s engagement. (It was 127 Days, and still a Duggar record. February 24 to June 30, 2018.) We still don’t know their exact courtship length, though, since their exact courtposal date remains unknown. (Duggar Data is pretty confident that it was January 6, 2018, though.)

Zach + Whitney Met in August 2012, Apparently.

Recently, I was casually rewatching Season 1, Episode 1 of Bringing up Bates, and realized it contains some data that I didn’t previously have.  Zach is talking in the episode, introducing Whitney, and says:  “I met Whitney in 2012.  Sixteen months later, we got married.”

Previously, all Duggar Data had for Zach + Whitney’s 1st Meeting Date was the year (2012), based on this Bates Family Blog Post.  I didn’t think there was any information about the month...  But, apparently, I was wrong!  Per this episode, they met 16 Months prior to their December 14, 2013 Wedding—i.e., in August 2012.  My spreadsheet now says “August 2012” instead of “2012.”

First Meeting Date doesn’t factor into the Predictor whatsoever—and actually, I don’t even track any data about the length of time from initially meeting to pre–courtship, courtship, or anything else.  So, the data impact is zilch.  But I’m still excited to have the information!
