When we asked Arnold, our driver, what the scariest thing would be for him on a safari, he immediately said, "Being charged by an elephant." Shortly after, we came across this guy wanting to cross the road. The trouble was that the road in front of him was blocked by 6 or 7 Toyota Land Cruisers full of gawking tourists like us. As he got closer to the road he flailed his trunk a bit and kicked one of his back legs. He hesitated just a few feet from one of the cars and Arnold slowly started backing up to make a gap for him. After a couple seconds, he turned toward us and began walking toward new opening.
