Octoberabble Day 6: Blame Game

So, as you may know, I've written my own season 2 and I'm now about 70k into writing season 3. I've been doing some work with talking through the various story lines, making sure I know everything I need to cover for each character.

And eventually, I got to Nick. Nick is... there. For structural reasons, he has a part to play, and some obvious story lines because of that role. But then I'm like, well, does he need a character arc? Does he need a love interest? And I'm kind of mentally making this face :/, but at the same time, I've abused that boy pretty thoroughly so I kind of owe it to him, maybe? And he's such a blank slate, maybe I should take the opportunity to make him into something interesting?

And then I ran across a couple of "Nick's the true villain of JatP" posts, so now I'm wondering if people would even want to read much about him.

So, I'll ask you, dear readers:

How much Nick do you want to see in JatP Season 3?

He's my blorbo! I'd love to read as much Nick content as you include.

I like him well enough, and I'd like to see a character arc for him.

I'm neutral on Nick - don't spend any more time on him then you need to.

I dislike Nick - please keep his screen time to an absolute minimum.

I hate him and I'll only be happy if he dies gruesomely.

I know the Nick Danforth-Evans hc will always reign supreme with the general public, but in my heart and soul Nick will always be Alex's older sister's son. Something something the passivity he has to the point of Julie describing him as a "doormat" coming from his family trying to shape him into being Not-Alex. Please don't become the family disappointment you don't even know exists. Please don't worry about why your mother looks a little haunted when she looks at you. Just keep your mouth shut and play your sport and your guitar and date the pretty girls who you think you should like and your mother will stay happy enough and you won't remind her of someone your family erased long ago.
