I am so happy I attended Northwest Carpet Fest yesterday!! Not only did I get to meet some awesome reptile enthusiasts and geek out for hours over reptiles, in particular Morelia, I got to hold an adult male Boelen's!!! My excitement level was through the roof! There is no way to capture how insanely gorgeous and impressive these animals are. They have massive, beefy heads, scales that look like they're made of velvet, are very inquisitive, and so majestic! I also got to see some super pied Mussuranas, Rough-scaled sand boas, and Black-headed Pythons! We raised a good amount of money for USARK by having Nick Mutton get in a freezing hot tub for 5 minutes, and through a live auction. I won a gift certificate to EB Morelia, and I hear he has some nice Irian Jaya carpets this year :)
