Some are strictly romantic or platonic while others can be read as either. Any child character has a child reader and the relationships are always platonic.

I only wrote for characters I felt comfortable with, as I took a very long break from Genshin and do not know anything about most of them now. You can also see my biases.

I might make more parts as I progress through the story, but that will take a long time and is not guaranteed.

Some errors that I didn’t catch

At first, Noelle thought you actually forged the armor. When she realized it was made of foam, paint and glue, she was no less enamored. You really put all that time and effort into making a replica of her outfit? When she sees you working on the wig, dress, and small accessories, she is amazed by how varied your skills are.

Zhongli is confused at first, but when he sees how dedicated you are, he is flattered. Plus, you’ve had him sit at Wangshu Inn with a nice meal while you studied his character model. He’d drank the last of his tea shortly before you decided to look at his statue as well.

When you log on again, you’re wearing most of the costume already. He notices that you have a plushie of his dragon form wrapped around your neck and wishes that were him. Perhaps you would allow it if he were ever able to be with you in person? The thought leaves him weak, and is now something he will never be able to forget.

You keep the camera on his face as a reference for your makeup, and the intimacy has him pleased. He’s able to keep a calm exterior, but as soon as you log out, he rushes back home. Normally, when you leave early, he is left with a feeling of emptiness and yearning for the next time you grace him with your presence. This time, he is too distracted with the memory of you looking so closely at him.

He decides that he must make tribute to you as well. Using his powers, Zhongli makes statues of you. They are much better than the ones he already has. After all, he was also studying you.

Ningguang’s sense of style is one that she has carefully crafted. Many have drawn inspiration from her clothing and jewelry, copied it, even. But to have you do the same is something she never would have anticipated.

As you work, she realizes that you are not just copying her, but creating the image you have of her into a physical piece. She’s never seen your drawings of her, but you use them as a guide for the project, sketching the patterns of her dress and details that she does not have. You even do research on Chinese fashion, which she found is the equivalent of Liyue in your world.

You have her sit in her room in the teapot while you play music from another device and add little beads to the hand-embroidered details. The fabric you chose was a higher quality than normal costume fabric, she notes.

When she sees the final result, she is moved by the attention to detail and craftsmanship you put into it. Ningguang strives to become the version of her you see her as.

She tries to commit every part of the costume to her memory so that she can replicate it. Maybe you would appreciate seeing it as a skin?

Diluc thinks it’s weird. He thought you had a crush on him, why are you trying to become him? After some thought, he is thankful that you’re at least not cosplaying someone like Keaya. When he sees you wearing just the coat, he is suddenly very enthusiastic about this ‘cosplay’ thing. He can’t reach you through the screen, but watching you go around your house in “his” coat makes him feel like he can finally put a claim on you. He imagines draping the garment over your cold figure, and if that’s not enough, he can get you warm through other methods. As a pyro vision holder, he runs hot.

You stare at Kaeya a lot. So much in fact, that he doesn’t immediately notice that you’ve been doing it more often, or that your gaze has changed. He’s perceptive, so he finds out sooner rather than later, but he’s still shocked to discover why you’ve been even more enraptured by him.

He’s amused by your grumblings. It’s too hot, how can he wear fur and a jacket? If only it were as windy where you live as it is in Mondstat. If he were there with you, he could cool you down with his touch. His hands are always cold, and he would love to torment you with them, placing them on your cheek and the side of your neck, watching you jump at the temperature.

Neuvillette notices that your normal cup is replaced by an intricate goblet. His goblet. He’s confused, how did it get there? The Iudex takes out his own to check if you were able to bring something from his world into yours. If you did, then maybe you could take him?

He is disappointed when he finds that his cup is where he left it.

But then, where did you get yours?

Apparently, you were going to a convention similar to the ones Furina attended to promote her movies. Hearing your plans to buy merchandise in his image, Neuvillette became flustered. Perhaps his next pottery venture would resemble you.

Wanderer Part 1

“Wanderer cosplayers”. He believes that they are all the same person, another version of him that lives in your world, and is extremely jealous before quickly realizing that they were all different people.

He definitely doesn’t pout(s). Why are you looking at them when he’s right in front of you? You want to…dress up as him? Well, you can use him as a model. You already have the source, you don’t need to rely on a third party.

What do you mean “you can see the stitches better on the cosplay photos”? Fine then, do as you wish.

Wanderer Part 2

Why did you chose that version of him. He’s been trying so hard to change, to be better, and you preferred him at his worst? You like the hat and color scheme better? It seems like no matter what he does, he will never be able to escape his path.

Nahida finds the concept fun. You want to dress like her? Okay, she doesn’t understand why but sees that you are having fun. Oh, you put some flowers in your hair? She’ll grow some so you match!

Amber thinks it’s adorable. She imagines the both of you wearing couples shirts, but can’t decide if they should be the same or unfinished phrases. She figures that you could do both.

Making the outfit was one thing, but the bunny was another. She notices that your bunny is a little different, matching your version of her cosplay more than Amber. She likes the differences, it makes her feel like your bunnies are friends instead of twins.

You have her go around Mondstat to pose, taking pictures of poses that you copy. To Amber, it feels like a date, especially since you’d decided to take a picnic while admiring the scenery on a windsweep cliff.

Hu Tao writes a rhyme about it. She sees you wearing her hat every so often, which never fails to make her smile. Whenever you copy her dance, you both laugh.
