After watching two Super Mario animated movies, I would highly recommend that Illumination and Nintendo should invest in the next movie being a "Wario" movie.

Not just to make a cheeky spinoff with a popular side character from the franchise. It could also be a fun change of pace making Wario the protagonist. He's a stubby, greedy, chaotic goblin. There's a funny animated action comedy waiting to be made. And it'll probably help the fact that Mario himself is a very reactive protagonist in these movies, where his allies and enemies are much more interesting to watch.
