Council of Tamran (Capital of Nirmathas)

"<...> Although Forest Marshal Weslen Gavirk is based in Tamran, he has little to do with the city’s government. Instead, like much of the rest of Nirmathas, Tamran has minimal formal oversight. A loose council is all that serves to unite Tamran’s interests and handle stickier matters, typically issues of land use or squabbles between rival merchants and artisans. Three “speakers,” as the people call them, sit on this council, which meets irregularly according to need. Although all three are military veterans, they each have vastly different perspectives — yet their conciliatory natures and good-faith attitudes ensure that most disputes are resolved without larger consequences. <...>" Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Lands of Conflict So, if you don't know, recently I started a pathfinder module in Nirmathas as a gm and as a proud artist I rather do portraits for my npcs myself, from scratch) Or really I just thought that those three particularly deserve have personalised icons/// And on that thought I drew them in 2 days. Well, of course, I made them sketchy and quick cause I'm not crazy... But or maybe I am crazy, cause, like, I needed those npcs for a little scene and no more. (Of course now I have more ideas how to throw them onto players again)

And, before I start talking about them... I must say that there's almost no information on them besides, like, name and ancestry, class, level... So I figured that that's an opportunity to take the matter to my own hands and add details and even make some alterations to the canon.

Aromina Yasgon, Speaker of the Heart

..She’s my favorite cause guess who appears in another game where I present as a player… (Spore War aka adventure when now elves have main spotlight in troubles with the demons) So, of course, I had to try hard on her portrait) In general, here she is about 10 years younger than the events of the Spore War, so that is also why I decided to draw new picture, and not take a picture from the Spore War. This portrait shows almost no signs of the noble aging of her official portrait, although I still decided to add a couple of strands of gray hair. Life in Nirmathas is difficult, and this girl has seen and dealt with a lot of hardship… Although despite that. According to the description from the book: she's a bard/aristocrat and holds the title of Voice of the Heart, so I naturally see her as the council's chief diplomat and the softest person. But for the sake of her people, she's no stranger to intrigue and when necessary is determined to get what she wants. Another fact: in the old pathfinder canon, she's a half-elf, but when appearing in Spore War she's a human. So that's why I still decided to draw her as a human. At the bottom of my mind there's a headcanon that's she's a 1/4 or something partly elf, but I'm not sure about that...

Mayslen Torgun, Speaker of the Leaves

Man with a surprise... (as you can see) In canon, he's a chaotic good male human aristocrat (by the way, "aristocrat" doesn't really mean anything, it's just a class for npcs in pathfinder) and other than that, there's zero information. So, with this zero information, I decided to come up with a completely chaotic biography and change the canon. I admit, I was heavily inspired by outside sources. (Essentially, his appearance - Neeshka combined with a druid girl from the D&D movie… Don't beat me up, lol, I just really like red-haired tieflings and somehow decided that I needed one in the Tamran government.) So, the concept is this: Maislen is a former druid who "broke his oath" (he was kicked out of his class due to changing his alignment from neutral to chaotic), but he's not discouraged and regrets nothing, and now he has found himself in the position of mediator between druids and people. And yes, he's hiddenly a tiefling. His colleagues know about that and accept him, but to avoid the regular shock you can expect when meeting a tiefling, he usually hides his horns. As one of my players said: "This man doesn't take off his hat indoors." 😈

Ollis Tamain, Speaker of the Bark

And surprisingly I did find some small but interesting piece of information about this one guy: "<...> In recent years, however, Speaker of the Bark Ollis Tamain has been acting strangely, showing up late to council meetings or missing some altogether, leading some to believe that he struggles with a problem he’s concealing from his colleagues. <...>" I could guess this is a hint at some plot point from the Nirmati modules, like maybe Ironfang Invasion? But I just can't read through all these books looking for additional information that might not even exist... Maybe here someone knows and can tell what this little note is referring to? Anyway. He's a ranger/fighter, and I made him seem shady and secretive. Because this guy literally has some kind of secret :D And I also gave him a wolfdog as an animal companion, woof. (She's cuter than him.) ... Thank you for reading this long post! I love my npcs as my own, even when they aren't...
