hiiii mel!!! hope you’re doing well ☺️💗 oh it’s so hard for me to pick favourite skz songs simply because i love all of them and listen to their discography on shuffle literally every day 😭 i did answer my fav skz songs over here tho! but i can elaborate on some of them:

hellevator. this song is just such a perfect introduction to stray kids! the desperation, the lyrics, the explosive chorus!!!!! it’s such a raw look into the predebut life of an idol and to see the desire to reach the top.

mirror. “for once i wish i could see myself.” !!!! this track has such a beautiful choreography but also thematises an important topic: the alienation of the self and the desire to see yourself once again.

my pace. JUST STAY IN MY LANE!!! i really think that this one was pivotal to the message of skz’s discography - that is to say, go your own pace, in your own lane, and don’t look at others.

hero’s soup. this track is so meaningful 😖 the way they talk abt the alcoholism that is prevalent in korean working culture from a son’s eyes … truly so touching.

maze of memories. OKAY ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC SONGS EVER! all eight of them rapping, the tonal shift, the switch up of the flows, the lyricism, the wordplay … MASTERPIECE.

side effects. while being one of the most hated songs in their discography, it genuinely is one of the most thought through and meaningful tracks that they’ve ever produced. side effects manages to express anxiety sooooo so perfectly.

levanter. YOU ARE SO LOVED MY QUEEN … seriously one of the best songs ever like 😭 the message of being free and becoming yourself with the wind motifs is truly unparalleled 😖

god’s menu. need i say anything? no. she is iconic and she KNOWS it. cooking like a chef i’m a five star michelin like that’s that on THAT.

the tortoise and the hare. maze of memories’ little brother! i love the way they play with rhythm and flow here, it’s so unique!

silent cry. THIS SONG IS SO ADDICTIVE … there’s so much that’s just simply perfect about it. the chorus is soooo smooth, and the lyrics are so touching 😭

charmer. YAAAAS COME THROUGH SNAKE CHARMER. the whistle … the flutes … the biribarabiribaaaaam … they get me. also there’s so much clever wordplay in this!!

of course i have sooo many more fave songs that i would love to elaborate on!! these are just a few 🥰
