Posted @withregram • @highgatehoney This used to be our front lawn! 5 months ago we changed it into a flower garden - planting loads of early spring bulbs, which are now handing over to later spring flowers. A couple of weeks ago we seeded it with annuals and perennials that, with luck will flower until the autumn frosts. What an improvement on a dull patch of grass. Always a sucker for a super example of Los Angeles funky bungalow style - this one in my neighborhood, Mar Vista . . . Note the house colors - turquoisey blue walls with the perfect coral red door . . . And then there's the garden - an oasis of exuberant controlled wildness, and a color palette that rocks with the house. . . . That California fuchsia or Zauschneria in the foreground is a plant I wish I could teleport into my garden right now! . . . The plants are an eclectic mix of new & old school drought tolerant plants that works!
