What bugs me about the left
The thing that bugs me about the left is the demand for government power and nationalizing everything. I wouldn’t mind them too much if they just did co-ops, mutual aid societies, communes and etc. To be fair you do have leftists that do those kinds of things like mutualists. But online I see far too many begging for government control over nearly everything. It bugs me since the government is inherently abusive by it’s nature, so even if you get your massive socialist state you will still have tons of abuse.
Basically, I feel like they’d be better off achieving their goals through non-state means like co-ops, mutual aid societies, networks and so on. Say you want healthcare, you’d be better off achieving that through non-state means like mutual aid societies rather than universal healthcare. They’d get what they want and it’d be voluntary so you don’t have state abuse. Now I don’t consider co-ops or communes to be the ultimate forms of organization, (Especially, communes they come with their own serious flaws.) but it’d be better than a leviathan state just so you can get your welfare.
TLDR: Leftists should become agorists or mutualists and achieve their goals through non-state means rather than through an oppressive government.
