I hope you don't mind it being a little short. If time permits, I'm willing to write something longer for each of them. These are just some general ideas I have off the top of my head.
General Relationship Headcanons ~ Nordic Five
Alright, let's get one thing straight. Mathias is simultaneously a hopeless romantic and a total dork. And that's what we love about him. He'll set up a very sweet and romantic dinner date for the two of you, where he cooks the food. And then you find out the food is like, toaster waffles or something.
Even after you're together, Mathias will still try to impress you at every turn. He's already pretty confident and self-assured, but he still likes praise, especially if it's from you. So be sure to take notice and compliment him. After all, he's already complimenting you at every turn.
He likes to show you off to friends and family. So be prepared for him to make a show of introducing you to them. Bonus points if you blush in the process. He thinks you look so cute when flustered!
GREAT. BIG. BEAR HUGS. Mathias especially likes to sneak up and give you a massive hug from behind. He likes to hear you squeal from surprise when he does this. He also likes to rest his head on top of yours. The man is super affectionate and wants to feel like he's your protector. <3
When he kisses you, he'll kiss you one of two ways: either the kiss is slow and sweet, or it's quick and aggressive. There's no in-between with this man. Regardless, both are full of love and admiration.
Berwald is the epitome of a gentle giant. Looks scary and intimidating until people see him interacting with you. Even when he maintains his deadpan expression, there's a kind of tenderness he exudes anytime he is in your presence.
Lowkey thought it was adorable when you wanted to try on his glasses that one time. It made your vision all fuzzy so you couldn't tell he was blushing. It was also one of the first times you ever heard him laugh.
Whenever it's cold out, and you happen to forget your coat at home, he's always willing to offer you his. If you protest that you don't need it, he'll just keep insisting until you give in. His coat actually does a great job at keeping you warm, though the garment is quite big on you. But that's just another aspect of you he finds adorable.
Similar to Mathias, Berwald also enjoys feeling like he's your protector. He's not the most affectionate, particularly in public. But when the two of you are alone, he likes to cuddle on the couch together, especially with your head resting on his chest. Whenever this happens, he enjoys playing with your hair.
Berwald doesn't always kiss you, but anytime you'd like a kiss, he isn't going to turn you down. Berwald's kisses are always warm and gentle, albeit a little awkward and inexperienced. The guy's just a little shy, so you may have to be the one to initiate. In fact, he probably waits for you to initiate so he doesn't accidentally cross a boundary.
Lukas is the most perceptive of the group. He can tell something is going on just by looking at you. Observing the way you speak, how you carry yourself, etc. He has the uncanny ability to pick up on even the tiniest idiosyncrasy. But take heed—this can act as both a pro and a con.
On the one hand, it's refreshing to have someone who can easily tell you're upset and ask about what's going on. But on the other hand, if you're trying to hide something special from him, like a birthday present, he'd pick up on it pretty quickly.
If you feel things very deeply, Lukas is a tremendous partner. He acts as a calming force in your life and keeps you grounded when life gets overwhelming. Talking through your problems while staying close and holding your hand, assuring you that things will work out. And if emotions spill over completely? He'll hold you until the pain passes.
Lukas isn't the most touchy-feely guy out there. But that doesn't mean he's void of any and all affection. While the most PDA he's okay with is hand holding, he's a little more relaxed in private. This typically comes in the form of a peck on the cheek or casually throwing an arm around your shoulders as you watch a movie. His kisses are usually quick, but sweet.
Oh, and be prepared for plenty of dates where the two of you do nothing but read. The man's a solid bookworm and will read for hours on end. Probably through the night if someone isn't around to remind him to sleep. May or may not accidentally doze off while resting on your shoulder or arm.
Highly values one-on-one time with you. Really, all of the Nordics do, but Lukas especially.
Aside from maybe Mathias, Timo is one of the most enthusiastic and affectionate of the bunch. Always greets you with a hug and a kiss. Really likes to hold your hand as you walk around town. He also loves to rest his head in your lap and enjoys it when you play with his hair.
He'll try to plan a perfect date, but ends up self-sabotaging via overthinking every little detail. Make sure to let him know you appreciate him and everything he does for you.
This man can and will absolutely either take you out sharpshooting or take you to a heavy metal concert for your first date. He'd be sure to check in with you first and see if you're willing to try these ideas, of course. But he'd especially like you to agree to at least one. Preferably sharpshooting, as that's an activity the two of you can do alone together.
Like Mathias, Timo also wants to introduce you to everyone he knows. He sees you as a beacon of joy and light, and wants everyone to know it. Unlike Mathias, however, Timo is just a wee bit more intuitive and can sometimes sense if you aren't up for going out.
Every year at Christmas, this man will absolutely beg you to dress up as an elf with him as Santa. Please do it! It would make his day! Also, the pictures would be adorable! <3
Emil is frankly the most awkward of the bunch when it comes to romance and relationships, so be prepared for him to be just a little bit inept when it comes to trying to figure things out. You're sad? He's going to stand there like an NPC for a hot minute as he runs through some options of how he should respond. Be patient, and trust that he's doing his best.
The kind of guy who will text you random songs that remind him of you every now and again. Even in the middle of the night.
I see him as sort of the "little brother" of the group, so I imagine he'd observe people like Lukas and Mathias for how best to treat a partner.
I can see him offering to hold your bag while you're out and about and to hold open doors. And this may sound a little cliché and predictable, but I can easily see him wanting to take you ice skating as a date. And not in a skating rink, mind you. I'm talking about a pond or lake frozen over during winter. He's a bit awkward about affection, so helping you learn how to skate is an excuse to get close and hold you. <3
He blushes and gets flustered the easiest out of the bunch. Do with this knowledge what you will.
