I didn't send that anon but I could have <3
Iâm gonna cryThank youI love you too
17th century!! you have the aura of a witch that puritans would hiss at without having any idea of her true power
wow!!!!! That sounds super cool > u <
i feel like your face says 18th century to me, not quite versailles but with that sort of grace!
Wow, thank you so much! Thatâs one of my favourite time periods :p
â
Well, I donât know you enough, but I like the fact that ever since you followed me, you have kept your place as my number one fan, according to tumblr xD
I think that, according from the things you reblog from me, youâre a really cool person with really great taste. And I dunno, I think youâre really nice, and I like nice people.
i know it has historically been a slur but didn't realise it was still widespread as one! okay, thanks for the info :)
i think a lot of that has to do w where people live and the environment they are in yknow? some ppl wonât hear it bc of where they grew up or what school they went to/go to but i definitely have so i think a lot of it comes down to personal perspective. and no problem! :)
ooooh, yeah i've seen that stuff. i understand, thanks!! (though, now i'm confused about the q word bc i've used it in the past to refer to myself, as pansexual?? is it a slur? i've seen lots of people using it!)
it is a slur. lots of people say that no one ever uses it anymore in a negative way, but from my experience of being in catholic school from kindergarten to the 12th grade, ive heard it used a ton of times as a slur.Â
i donât think there is any problem at all with reclaiming it if youâre LGBT yknow? just not as like a large sweeping blanket term, bc there are a lot of people in the community who donât feel comfortable with it as a descriptor for themselves. so people shouldnt say âthe queer communityâ bc not everyone wants to be called thatÂ
is there something wrong with the term mogai? i'm not trying to judge your post or anything, i just want to learn, since i've seen it around...
to me itâs not as much about the term itself, but more about what ive seen from people who use it.Â
i know there are plenty of lgbt+ people who are negatively impacted by shitty tumblr discourse, but speaking as a lesbian, i have seen a lot of people who literally hate lesbians and gay people trying to hide their hatred behind like, pseudo-progressive discourse? (âmonosexual privilegeâ, that whole zombie apocalypse movie idea post that was essentially AIDs, the idea that lesbians objectify women the same way straight men do, etc.)
i connect all of this stuff to people who use mogai because, i shit u not, half the time someone is speaking over lesbians or telling us that we are gross dirty oppressors they are simultaneously calling lgbt+ people the âmogai communityâ. either that or theyre using the q slur as an umbrella term.Â
i am finally feeling really good about being a lesbian specifically. like, not just being a part of the larger community, but specifically being a lesbian. i still have a lot of internalized bad feelings about being a lesbian, and in an attempt to push past that and really embrace who i am, i wanna avoid The Discourse at all costs. at this point, people who use mogai and the q slur as an umbrella term are Red Flags haha
