A special public transport card is coming soon for tourists
It will soon be easier for tourists to travel through the Netherlands via public transport. A trial is coming for a special public transport card, the Holland Travel Ticket, with which tourists can travel for an entire day with the train, bus, tram, and subway.
The card will be available in two types: with one (for 59 euros) tourists will be able to travel whenever they want, but only after the morning rush hour with the second type (for 39 euros).
The trial has already been announced, but State Secretary Dijksma now says that the card will appear "this quarter".
Trial
The card will be available to tourists who still have difficulty traveling with Dutch public transport, but non-tourists can also use it. It will be reviewed in a year to see if any improvements are needed.
Last year nearly fifteen million foreign tourists visited the Netherlands.
