people seem to purposefully misinterpret what anti transmasculinity is. Most all trans people are affected by the intersection between misogyny and transphobia. to deny this is inherently wrong, since so many people have these lived experiences for years and ignoring that does nothing.
In a perfect world it would all be called transmisogyny or some other word to be a huge umbrella term with smaller ones under it, but since its become more and more agreed upon that is for a specific experience for people who face this intersection, transandrophobia/transmisandry/anti trans masculinity are terms used to express another side to this issue.
Someone talking about their experiences does not silence you. You going above and beyond to somehow imply that someone's oppression can cancel out other oppression they face is inherently wrong. If you don't have an understanding of intersectionality and oppression just say that.
I think its also worth noting when people claim trans women are the only ones to suffer from things like misogyny or transphobia (yes these are takes i have heard from my own community MANY times), they always point out white trans woman issues. Perisex trans woman issues. Able bodied issues. It's blatantly obvious theres a certain loud minority of trans people lot who are incapable of understanding intersectionality and recognizing their own privelege, so instead they try and undermine other peoples struggles and it is gross. Take that shit to twitter where they're still grappling with the fact nonbinary people are in fact nonbinary, seems more at the level some of you are thinking at. But again, this isn't just a "men vs women" thing. The phenomenom of trans people hating other trans people is not only in this regard.
To ignore others' experiences in a group you belong to, belittle them, claim them talking about their experiences is somehow silencing your own, ignore all intersectionality, etc, makes you willfully ignorant anf close minded. End of story
[Please do NOT derail my post. However, adding on to it is very well appreciated. This DOES include talking about the other side of the issue where tranmasc people will be transmisogynystic in the same way some transfemmes are anti transmasculine. Its not just one part of this community that is reusing TERF rhetoric against other trans people.
And adding on to this to talk about other issues that relate to the core topic at hand, whether it be gender essentialism in the community, bio essentialism in the community, lack of understanding/caring about intersectionality in the community, same thing i spoke about, etc, would be very appreciated. These are conversations our community must have. Seperation in the trans community only harms us. Peace and love<3]
