#1 - Murder on the Orient Express
*Excuse the obvious screenshot I got from Google Images* I began with the essential classic. This is Christie’s best-known novel, and it’s understandable as to why. This book is brilliance and shaking morality under a disguise of glamour and wit. It was the one that got me hooked in the first place, mainly because I never before seen such a fascinating moral dilemma dealt with in such an intriguing and unexpected way. It’s very character-based (both in the moral and literary senses), which I always tend to favour in my reading, and this cast of travelers on the blizzard-blocked and murder-troubled Calais Coach has more than enough eccentricity to keep a reader on their toes. It’s just exquisite. It subverts expectations of the mystery genre without breaking from the traditional format enough to warrant notice along the way. The clues are laid perfectly, but it’s impossible to figure out the solution without pre-existing knowledge of it. It’s so clever, so captivating, and so perfectly Christie. Ranking: 10/10. Colour I associate it with: ocean-y royal blue. Bright, cold, and sharp.
I'm going to be honest, Not-Mary is a much better roommate than Mary ever was. That's part of what tipped me off to her being Not-Mary, but I try not to bring it up. She's trying her best, and every time someone points out how abysmal her acting is she looks like she's about to cry. At this point everyone on our floor is actively trying to cover up that she's a changeling. We don't want the Knights to know. They might bring Human-Mary back. She really was such a bitch.
I love and support Not-Mary

IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BOBBY
