I think it’s honestly sad to see that tumblr jumps to call you racist when they don’t even know the history of the flag they think they represent. The south fought for a right to break from the Union to govern themselves as a country to further increase their economy without affecting the north, not slavery. The great president Lincoln himself believed in slavery even stating that if he could end the war without ending slavery, he would and not to mention the northern slave states that stayed slave states until the end of the war. Thus the stars and stripes flag is as much guilty as the confederate flag. The flag wasn’t ever for racism until the KKK got a hold of the flag and used it as their own. In relation the Germans used multiple symbols that represented peace and because of that made the swastika in to a symbol of hate. The point is its a misleading symbol that people only think of as bad, when in reality, you didn’t take the time to actually learn something in history class. 

P.s. I don’t support racism it is clearly wrong and so is slavery, but I actually know my history and destroying our historical past is wrong.
