Permanent Drift will be offering photo books, zines, prints and other ephemera in a variety of sizes to fit all budgets, as well as 2 new publications; A Chance That Nothing Will Happen, and Remind Me Tomorrow, Forever 1 –  6.

You can listen to this interview I did with “Bookbinding Now.” I talked with Susan Mills about making books as a collaborative endeavor, my studio practice, and upcoming curatorial projects. 

I was asked a question exploring the link between my collaborative publishing and curating endeavors and the arts, music, and book communities in Western Massachusetts. I gave an okay answer, expressing my gratitude that there are so many people in the Valley interested in collaboration. I also mentioned that I found this refreshing after feeling so isolated in Brooklyn. What I *WISH* I had talked about:

There is an amazing underground music scene in Western Massachusetts supported by a diverse group of artists, collectives, and small businesses. I happened to be connected to this community socially (I am not a musician myself) and have gone to punk, hardcore, and noise shows in the area for years. I moved back to Western Massachusetts in 2013 with the intention of being more involved in an arts community. I found that the same DIY activities, resources, and networks used by musicians were being applied to visual art spaces and shows. This is amazing and special and I don’t think it is true everywhere. I have also taken advantage of more above-board opportunities (and serve the community in the super-official capacity of Northampton Arts Council board member), but never would have gotten so involved in curating, publishing, or community building if it hadn’t been for the existing DIY/Punk scene. Visit Draw Down today at the Northampton Print and Book Fair. Free and open to the public, the Northampton Print & Book Fair is a one-day event that will take place at A.P.E. Gallery in downtown Northampton, MA on Sunday October 4th from Noon-6pm. The NPBF is a combination invitational and juried event that will feature over 50 artists, publishers, studios and vendors who will have their works available for display and purchase.
