ABO Human nun disguised omega!alastor and alpha!Devil Lucifer. First part is posted here
Alastor is incredibly fretful as his heat approaches.
But the oncoming heat isn’t the only new overstimulation he’s enduring; instincts on overload. He hates to leave the Devil’s side, it was becoming bad habit to keep the Priest within his line of sight.
He’d done well— his omega liked to often remind. He’d beckoned an Alpha from beyond their Earthly dimension, securing himself not only power but a mate who was respectful and read between the lines, providing and doing everything in his graces to bestow comfort.
Was that enough?
What did being the Devil’s companion mean?
Lucifer seemed an open book but Alastor was unwilling to ask. Asking would implied he wondered. But he should get used to it if he was looking down the barrel of a lifetime at the Devil’s side.
Then he had a lifetime to get comfortable. Surely, this also meant he’d be bypassing hell’s lower power grid. Maybe he should have discussed his terms more explicitly… although his own interests should be implied if he was truly understood by the other party.
Lucifer seems to have fun with the humans. He seems to be enjoying Earth. Maybe it wasn’t just his rituals… any other contact he’d made, although sparse, had never been like this. Most were offended that a human would attempt to be so lofty.
Lucifer… was like no man or demon he’d met thus far.
Was that because he’d originally been an archangel?
“You’re really keeping an eye on me.” Lucifer departs from the congregation to duck down where the nun has been sat the last… hour, at least.
“Is that to be my charge now, hm? Keeping an eye on you?” Alastor blinks slowly. “I thought you were supposed to be an eye on me.”
The alpha squats before him, peering up, curiosity in his disguised brown eyes. “Is that why you’re following me around, I’m not giving you enough attention?”
Alastor looks absolutely sour at the suggestion. Like he’d just wrung a wet towel out over his head. After an indignant pause, he chews his words, “I can’t ask you questions if you’re more concerned with that gaggle over there.”
Oh, was that how it was now?
For just a moment, Lucifer stands and sets his hands on his hips. “You’d love to think that I only want you because you’re an omega but the truth is, you only want me because I’m the Devil. So yes, ask away.” And like it’s nothing, he settled beside Alastor close enough that their hands are touching.
As much as it sends Alastor’s heart into his throat, he keeps his nerve, “You’re not telling me the real reason why.” A heavy accusation… but a true one, drawing a light sigh out of Lucifer.
“Are you sure you want to talk about this here?” The angel’s eyes flicker from the group in the room to where their fingers overlap on the concrete.
“Your chambers?” Alastor is all too quick to suggest, to Lucifer’s surprise.
After being seen huddled together, without a care they head off to privacy. Once they’re not being watched by prying eyes he dares to snatch up Alastor’s hand, lacing their digits together. The omega’s palm goes stiff for a moment and he hears an exhale behind him; they finally push the door open to Lucifer’s room.
Ah, what the omega had truly been after. Lucifer’s scent always seems muted but it’s a bit stronger in this den; this small room with kitchenette and bed. His own was similar and he loathed to spend his heat in one of these studio sized squares.
He’s so distracted with his calm, drinking in the scent around him that it isn’t until moments later he remembers to snatch his hand back. Or try. Lucifer prepares for it and steels his grip, looking over at him playfully.
“You enjoy my scent?” Funny of him to be sheepish now. Funny of the Devil to be sheepish at all…
Alastor’s spectacle chain is more defined against his veil, with his hair tucked back for the most part sans bangs. Lucifer hasn’t even gotten to see him without that veil in the way yet… his natural Alpha scent and what weight he’d kept over it lifts, the smell of burnt caramel and popcorn filling the room.
Popcorn? Yes. It’s buttery and smokey; Alastor finds himself leaning forward towards its purveyor.
It’s so much so close to his heat. His hand clings to Lucifer’s, lifting where their hands are joined to drag his nose along the priest’s pulse. He can see when the robe falls back that the darkness he’d sighted was simply skin, sooty color following up towards the other man’s elbow.
