Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, I'd like to say our household was having a few rounds of no bueno sick bad times, but it seems we have another round coming up....erf... Anyway, Starbound! I've been playing it on and off with the boys (my little brother and my wife's husband) for a good long while now, and I can easily say it's moved right up into my "favorite games" list! And so I've been inspired a few times to do some art based on my adventures in it. This one kinda touches on some real-life fun involving me cuddly wife. I enjoy playing video games around her because of her amusing "color-commentary", which sometimes includes teasingly questioning my violent behavior as the game's protagonist. While the enemy "Nutmidge" in Starbound is canonically a bunch of weird, hostile little chestnut beasties huddled in a shell thing, Ashley interpreted it as a "pitiful dumpy guy who doesn't even know how to put on pants so he just wraps a blanket around himself when he goes for his morning walk". which made me feel rather badly for the little guys and as a result I find myself trying to avoid harming any I come across now...
