reverse robins pet peeve

My Absolute pet peeve in Reverse Robins AUs is when Damian as the first Batman's sidekick/partner is called Robin.

I get why people want to do that, and I understand that the name Robin was at first given to Dick Grayson by DC as a sort of homage to Robin Hood, but...

In most modern comics and fandom, Robin was the name given to Dick BY HIS MOTHER. And he WORE HIS FAMILY COLOURS. Damian would not be called Robin and wear scaly green panties looking like a traffic light unprompted.

Every day that I do maths I am taken aback by the weirdness of some of these questions, because what even is this scenario????

Why am I now picturing a support group of 10 couples all desperate for a daughter, so they get together to calculate probabilities (as one does) and construct an elaborate plan, where they decide the best thing to do is just...keep popping out babies until it's a girl.

Because that's totally logical human behaviour

I swear to god if I open my exam paper and get a question like this I will be utterly bamboozled
