aster really couldn't tell how much time had passed ever since they had fallen from the night sky, yet to get used to the pace of the earth even though they had been wandering the land for some time at this point. while they might be in close proximity to humans now, aster had always kept their usual distant observer demeanor, choosing to watch from the sidelines instead of fully immersing themself into this world despite having become a part of it.
one thing had changed since they had first started observing people's existence as a star though — now, aster also needed to find a way to survive and keep their human body going just like everyone else, and that was what had led them to this place.
changing from one job to the next, they stood in front of the gas station observing the help wanted sign with a curious expression on their gaze, feeling a subtle pull towards the store that they couldn't quite name. without worrying too much about that or thinking too deeply about it, aster finally decided to walk in, eyes moving across the room in search of someone to talk to about it. " is there someone i can talk to about the open position? "
