Let’s create New Year’s Resolutions, not only for ourselves, but New Year’s Resolutions for us as Black people. Lets move from New Year Resolutions to New Years REVOLUTIONS! #NYRevolutions My New Years Revolutions for 2015: 1) In 2015, I will do more to honor and protect the lives of Black women, girls, and femmes (cis and trans*) from state, street, sexual, and domestic violence. 2) In 2015, I will put my money into the movement by donating to Black Lives Matter and other local and national grassroots efforts that seek to liberate Black people young and old, queer and straight, cis and trans, able and disabled. 3) In 2015, I will exercise self-care as practice of radical resistance to a White Supremacist Hetero-Patriarchal Capitalist System that seeks to destroy Black, queer, working-class and poor women… What are your New Years Revolutions? ‪#‎NYRevolutions‬

Before and after this evening’s New Year’s Eve TURN UP, we must continue to: TURN UP Black consciousness and knowledge of self, TURN UP Black cooperative economics and redistribution of wealth, TURN UP Black healing and health, TURN UP our love for Black women, Black girls, and Black femmes, TURN UP our love for Blacks who are queer, trans, and gender queer, TURN UP our love for Blacks who are undocumented/immigrants, TURN UP our love for Blacks with mental disabilities or illness, TURN UP our love for Blacks here and around the world, TURN UP our love for Blacks who are incarcerated/exiled/political prisoners, TURN UP our love for Black children, Black elders, Blacks in the Struggle, Blacks that Overcome, Blacks Living, Blacks who have passed, Blacks who are to come! Lets move from New Year’s Resolutions to New Year’s REVOLUTIONS!
