OOH!!! Also, for the Kiss Roulette! How about 1 or 2 for Elarië and Thorin? Hehehe! >:)
Finally having taken back their home from the dragon, the dwarves were now facing potential war with both lake town and the Mirkwood elves. They went about the front rooms and halls in the mountain, picking up the weapons and armour of their lost kin to prepare for the battle they might face the next day.
Thorin found a few pieces among the hoard of treasure that he thought perfect to share with a couple of his companions for such preparation.
Finding the Hobbit was thankfully easy that night, Thorin gifted him a very important piece of armour he knew would protect him, holding up the mithrel chainmail between them and looking at the hobbit through it as if he were seeing Bilbo through a veil.
Finding Elarië however was surprisingly harder, as if for a night the two haflings swapped roles and she were the slippery stealthy one. Elves were a bit light on their feet, much to the king's annoyance, so it would be no surprise if she got that from one half of her heritage as well.
Finally though, the dwarf king did find her, leaning on the edge of the wall in a corner away from the company and staring out at the night. The moonlight glow casting a beautiful light over the features of her face that thorin couldnt help admiring, he found himself pausing a staring for a moment as if for once his mind wasnt on the hoard of treasure under the mountain but on the treasure that was her...
Snapping himself out of it he made his way over, standing beside her taller frame and joining her in looking out at the view. "If you're thinking about leaving to join your people, then go." He grumbled.
"Even if I was they wouldnt except me if I did." Elarië argued, softer and almost a pout. But whether it was because of the rejection she believed shed get or because he told her to leave again, he couldnt tell.
"Why do you think that?" He asked, arms resting beside hers on top of the wall edge.
"I know. Plenty of them were hoping I'd choose man so they had an excuse to rid of me, my helping you instead gave them a new one. I'm a traitor, if I switched sides now id just be pathetic." She scoffed.
"And you dont want to return to them?"
"Why would I? Theres nothing for me there-"
"Good. I wouldnt have let you leave anyway." Thorin admitted.
"Oh? Then why did you tell me to?" Elarië smirked slightly.
"Because, I wasnt sure of something. I am now." He sighed, glancing at her hand.
"Sure of what? That even though several times I'd said I would stay and fight by your side, you only now believe me?" She teased.
Thorin gently took her hand in his, his other placing something in her palm and closing her fist before she could see it. "I had to be sure you felt the same."
The half-elf blinked in surprise before smiling softly and leaning down to place a kiss on the top of his head. "Silly dwarf. Of course I do."
"Good. Now you're really never leaving this mountain, so long as I live." He chuckled though meant it sincerely. Reaching up, he held her face softly before guiding her head to lower enough to press a kiss to her forehead.
