This isn't usually the situation they find themselves in. Scott doesn't usually take hits like that. Well, he does, but then Hank is the one who has to stitch him up. Luckily, Emma has plenty of experience with a needle.

"Scott," she sighs, leaning back. "It is only going to hurt you worse if you twitch incessantly. Like that, see?"

It's gross. It is. Emma isn't particularly fond of playing medic in the field. There's dust everywhere, (her costume is ruined) everybody is either losing their minds or about to, and now Scott is mildly pissing her off because he keeps twisting his body to check on his teammates. (At least he isn't bleeding all over her gloves anymore.)

"Breathe, darling. They'll live. Now we make sure that you do too, yes?"
